Shark Bait Café CEO, Creator & Inspiration & SSI Open Water Instructor

Hi, I’m Mayra, Axcel’s better half and the lucky girl who gets to call this little slice of paradise home with him.

After many years as an occupational therapist helping people rebuild their lives, I traded the clinic for the coral reef and never looked back. Today I’m proud of both the Shark Bait Café and of what we have built Coral Coast Divers where I am an SSI Open Water Instructor.

Whether I’m teaching new divers how to breathe underwater for the first time, dancing around the café kitchen, or simply watching our guests light up when they meet their first shark, I pour my heart into every part of our little family business.

I’m completely in love with music, dancing, diving, all animals (especially the ones with fins!), and above all — my family. Nothing makes me happier than sharing this beautiful ocean with guests who leave as new friends and passionate ocean lovers.

At Coral Coast Divers and Shark Bait Café, we really are one big family — and we can’t wait to welcome you into it!
