Coral Coast Divers Locations & Dive Sites

THE CORAL COAST | BEQA LAGOON | YANUCA ISLAND | VATULELE ISLAND

"Our dive sites offer some of the finest diving with amazing hard and soft corals, a wide variety of macro life, large pelagic fish, up to 10 different species of Sharks and much more!"

We have 3 main areas for diving. The area surrounding our dive center is the Coral Coast with about 10 different sites. Hard corals are very healthy here and build interesting reef formations. You’ll see large table corals, staghorn, stone- and brain corals. Plenty of anemones, small yellow sponges, giant clams, cowrie shells, scorpion fish and tiny crabs made these reefs their habitat. Regular visitors to these stunning places are turtles, barracudas, squid, sea snakes and eagle rays. There is a channel close by where you have a very good chance to dive with leopard sharks and guitar sharks. The Coral Coast offers up to 10 different species of sharks! Dive sites are between a 5-20 minute boat ride away. Depths are between 5-30 meters. Suitable for beginners to professional. Currents small to moderate.

To reach the dive sites of Beqa Lagoon and Yanuca Island, we need between 25-50min. There are more than 20 different spots. Diving in this area is so special because of the amazing soft corals. Overhangs and top reefs completely covered with the most amazing colors you can imagine. Occasionally you’ll find a turtle munching the soft corals and if you can draw your eyes away from the stunning reefs, you might find some reef sharks patrolling around the numerous pinnacles. Shipwrecks and several swim-through with gorgonian fan corals inside will turn these dives into unforgettable experiences. Depth between 5-30 meters. Currents can be moderate to strong. Diving for beginners only when the currents are small.

The third diving area is around the island of Vatulele - a 1 hour boatride. Vatulele has no rivers spoiling the visibility on the surrounding reefs and deep walls offer exiting possibilities. Loads of pelagic fish plus large sharks including bulls, tigers and even oceanic whitetips are encountered regularly.
